Stephanie “Steph” Lomurro is the Managing Partner of the law firm of Manzi Epstein Lomurro & DeCataldo, LLC. Her practice is dedicated entirely to issues related to Family Law, including divorce, custody, parenting time, alimony, child support, distribution of assets and debts (including division of marital business interests), adoptions, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence matters, post-divorce disputes (changes in spousal or child support, retirement, and modifications of custody or parenting time arrangements), and any other issue which may impact a family in transition.
Steph takes the time to understand each client’s goals and priorities before developing a case strategy. That strategy may include attempts to resolve issues without going to court (for example, through mediation or settlement conferences). Other times, and particularly in high-conflict cases, litigation may be necessary. Stephanie has her Certificate in Trial Advocacy from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and while she considers herself a settlement-minded attorney, she is also a skilled litigator. At all times, Steph works with her clients to determine the approach best suited for each case. After all, just as each family is different, so is every family law case.
In addition to representing individual clients, Steph is also a qualified Rule 1:40 Family Law Mediator. In her role as a mediator, Steph serves as a neutral third-party tasked with facilitating negotiations. Known both for her creativity and direct approach to problem solving, Steph is regularly appointed by the court and selected by her colleagues to serve as a mediator in complex and highly contested cases. Steph offers her mediation services both in-person and by Zoom.
After graduating law school, Steph was the Law Clerk to the Honorable Sallyanne Floria (Ret.), who was, at the time, the Presiding Judge of the Family Part, Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage. After her clerkship, Steph worked for a prominent firm in Bergen County, New Jersey. She later became a Partner at Schwartz Lomurro Family Law, LLC, with offices in Summit, New Jersey. In 2022, Steph became Managing Partner of Manzi Epstein Lomurro & DeCataldo, with offices in West Orange, New Jersey and Hoboken, New Jersey.
Steph is an active member and holds leadership positions in many legal and professional organizations:
